PHYSICAL FORM All individuals must have their PIAA Medical Form completed. If you need a copy of the form, please use the link below from the PIAA website. Once you are on the site, please select the PIAA Comprehensive Initial Pre-Participation Physical Evaluation - New....this will lead you to the form.

This form will need to be handed in on the first day of our tryouts. Please note that any player who does not hand in this form will not be able to participate in the tryouts. Contact the coach with any questions at [email protected]
When attending the tryout sessions, all players are required to wear adequate footwear when running on the track. Soccer cleats are required when we move to the field. Shin guards should be worn during tryouts, but are only required during small sided or full field scrimmages.
Please make sure all players bring water with them to stay hydrated...so important. I know we have the larger jugs from school, but it’s always good to bring their own as well.
INJURY - or - SICK If a player is injured or sick, they are still encouraged to attend the tryout sessions if they want to be considered for a position on the team. If a player is too sick to attend a session, please contact Coach Bill Bono at [email protected]
EXPECTATIONS FOR TRYOUTS
Players are expected to be on time for all sessions during the tryout process and for future practices & games. For instance, if a session starts at 4:00PM then all players are expected to have their gear on and are ready to go by 4:00PM. Showing up a few minutes before a session, then putting your gear on and not being ready by 4:00PM is unacceptable.
All players are expected to come tryouts in shape and ready to play. We will quickly find out who has conditioned over the summer once the 1.5 mile run and other conditioning is completed during tryouts. If you haven’t been conditioning, I suggest you start.
Since I am a new coach at PJP, all players are starting fresh. I’m looking for talented and skilled players. Players who have a strong soccer IQ and see the field. Players that encourage teammates and have a positive attitude. I will not tolerate negativity...if something is bothering a player then they should come to myself, another coach or to the AD department. I am always open to a conversation.
Players should also be able to accept constructive criticism...I’m not in the business of scolding players, rather I’m here to help them. I’m here to help the team. If players don’t want to put the hard work in, then they won’t play. We are building a TEAM and to have a successful season we all need to be on the same page.
